Premier League side Manchester United are interested in signing Barcelona winger Ansu Fati and now Arsenal and Spurs have also joined the race, as per the latest reports.

Ansu Fati was one of the most exciting players at Camp Nou a couple of years ago but over the years, the youngster has fallen down the pecking order. This season, he’s made only seven starts in the league, scoring just three goals.

His progress has been halted due to several injury setbacks in recent times and since Barcelona are doing so well without him, Xavi might look to cash in on him during the January transfer window.

Spanish publication Sport are claiming that Manchester United have shown an interest in the winger and his agent Jorge Mendes is well aware of this and might look to offer him to the Red Devils at the end of the season.

However, as per some rumours, North London sides Arsenal and Spurs have also registered an interest in the 20-year-old because they feel he will be an easy transfer target during the summer.

Fati’s current deal with Barcelona expires in 2027 and it has a €1bn (£897.9m) release clause. However, he is no longer a valuable player for Xavi and since Barca are in need of funds, the right offer will definitely force the club to sell him off.

His current valuation is €50 million but since he has four more years in his deal, Barcelona will not let him go for cheap. We think the Spanish side will quote around €80-90 million.

Manchester United are the first English club to show an interest but we don’t think Ten Hag will be eager to spend so much money on a left-winger.

He already has Rashford and Garnacho who operate in that role plus the manager’s priority will be to sign a new striker in the summer. Only if Ansu Fati is available for a cut-price deal will Man United make a move.

However, Spurs and Arsenal could be the ideal destination for the youngster because they are currently being managed by two of the best managers in Europe.

If Arsenal can win the Premier League then they will be in pole position to land Ansu Fati and since he’s just 20 years old, the Spaniard will be the ideal signing for Arteta.

Whether Spurs will make a move or not will depend on several things, primarily if Antonio Conte remains at the helm or not. If Conte is not replaced by another world-class manager, we doubt if Fati will be too eager to join them.

Another deal-breaker for Spurs will be the transfer fee because Daniel Levy is not a big spender.

To conclude, Ansu Fati is sure to garner a lot of attention during the summer transfer window but if he is indeed up for sale then we are sure that several other clubs will queue up to sign the 20-year-old.
