Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain Liverpool

Arsenal have recently been linked with Liverpool misfit Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and it looks like they could get their hands on him during the January transfer window.

According to a report in The Mirror, Liverpool are ready to part ways with the midfielder if an interested club is ready to pay the right price for him.

The report claims: “Liverpool are willing to cash in on Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain – but only for the right price.

“The midfielder has slipped down the pecking order at Anfield and is now being linked with a move away.

“Arsenal, the club whom Oxlade-Chamberlain left in 2017, are looking to bring him back to the Emirates. Liverpool will not stand in the 28-year-old’s way if he does want to seek pastures new after over four years on Merseyside.

“However, having paid £35m for his services, they will only move him on for a fair amount given his quality.”

Will Arsenal try and sign Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in January?

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain left Arsenal for greener pastures four years ago but since then, his career graph has only gone down.

Last season, the midfielder played in only 13 Premier League games and this campaign, he’s featured in only two league matches.

He is clearly of no use to Jurgen Klopp right now which is why the Liverpool manager is ready to cash in on him as early as possible.

There’s no doubt that the 28-year-old will add value to the Arsenal squad and since he’s valued at only £16.2 million, the Gunners will not even have to spend too much money to sign him.

His current deal with Liverpool expires in 2023 so Liverpool are not expected to quote too much for the midfielder. We believe a fee of around £20-25 million should be good enough to bring him out of Anfield.

Arsenal have Granit Xhaka who’s currently partnering Thomas Partey in central midfield but Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain can surely become the perfect long-term partner to Thomas.
