Manchester United defenders Diogo Dalot and Axel Tuanzebe could return back to action as early as this next weekend – as per reports.

Man United return back to the Premier League this weekend as they take on Sheffield United at Bramall Lane and as per the club’s early team news both these players are making good progress.

Axel Tuanzebe picked up a hip injury during warmup before the draw against Liverpool and has been on the sidelines ever since that match.

Now though, the club have reported that the youngster is making progress and there’s a chance he could be named in the matchday squad this Sunday.

The report states: “Axel Tuanzebe has hinted he is making progress after being sidelined with a hip injury since withdrawing in the warm-up prior to our 1-1 draw with Liverpool on 20 October.

“Axel played at Bramall Lane last season, while on loan at Aston Villa, and could provide a boost to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s options at centre-back, alongside Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof, Marcos Rojo and Phil Jones.”

Diogo Dalot has also been out with groin trouble since the middle of October and so far he’s missed 7 games for the first-team.

But the report also hints at his return when Man United head to Bramall Lane during the weekend.

“Meanwhile, after stepping up his fitness programme during the break, Diogo Dalot is hopeful of being available soon,” the official update added.

The right-back has himself posted a picture on social media where he’s hinted that he’s getting closer to a return to the first-team but we’ll have to wait and see if he can be available for selection for the Sheffield vs Man United clash.
