Bayern Munich are planning to make a move for Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno – as per the latest reports.

Bernd Leno joined the Gunners in the summer of 2018 and after a rocky first couple of months, the German has managed to settle down and is now the undisputed No 1 at the Emirates.

Despite playing with a shaky defensive line in front of him, Leno has been able to do justice to his position and more often than not he has been able to pull Arsenal out of awkward situations.

But with Manuel Neuer’s abilities declining at a rapid pace, it seems like Bayern Munich are looking to bring in Bernd Leno as the long-term replacement for the 33-year-old.

This season, the Arsenal No 1 has failed to come up with great performances having kept only two clean sheets during the first 12 matches but surely the Bavarians are not too keen on looking at the stats.

Neuer has recently suffered with various injuries which clearly suggests his days in front of goal are limited as a result of which Bayern want to bring in his replacement as soon as possible.

Bernd Leno is under contract at Arsenal until 2023 and under normal circumstances, he would not want to leave having just arrived in England.

But then playing for a team like Bayern Munich would mean he will automatically come under the radar of the German national side which will, in turn, help him in moving up the pecking order for the international games.

It is still unclear as to how much Bayern Munich are willing to offer but as per the reports, they are planning to make a move at the end of the season.
