Arsenal suffered their third straight defeat in the Premier League, this time losing to Leicester City away from home.

The Gunners played most of the match with 10 men after Maitland-Niles was sent off but instead of showing mettle and courage, Arsenal instead went down 3-0.

The loss means that Arsenal have are now fifth on the league table and their Champions League hopes are hanging in the balance.

The manager has been urged to make a major overhaul during the summer transfer window and Kevin Campbell feels the Spanish boss should offload Mesut Ozil as soon as the current season comes to an end.

The former Arsenal striker told the Daily Express of Ozil: “If it was up to me, he’d be gone.

“I don’t think he can contribute enough to Arsenal. With the set-up and the way the Premier League is going, I don’t think he does enough.

“Is he a wonderfully gifted player? Of course, he is. But the way his talent is going, he doesn’t do enough for me.

“On his wage, that could bring in four players. And it might be four versatile players.

“On one person’s wage you get four opportunities to improve the squad, that must take priority.

“More functional players get the better of Arsenal and are undoing them.

“That should never undo Arsenal because the club should have that in abundance.

“Arsenal haven’t had that type of player in recent years and they need to get that back.”

Mesut Ozil has fallen down the pecking order ever since Unai Emery has taken charge at Arsenal and it is more or less certain that the German will be on his way out of the club during the summer.

Right now, Mesut Ozil is the highest earning player in the squad and this hefty wage structure could be the biggest cause of concern for the Gunners.

Emery wanted to sell off Mesut Ozil in January itself but the club failed to find a buyer due to his huge wages. And many believe that his will once again cause problems during the summer transfer window.
