Arsenal picked up a fine 1-0 win over West Ham United last weekend meaning they have now won three of their previous Premier League matches.

The win means the Gunners are now just eight points off the fourth spot meaning they still have a fighting chance of qualifying for the Champions League next season.

On paper, they can still manage to back amongst the big boys but according to Ian Wright a top-four finish is well beyond then and right now their aim should be top finish in the top-six of the table.

Speaking in an interview, Wright said, as quoted: “You can’t lie about where Arsenal are in the league and you’d like to have thought they’d have more wins by now.

“Giving the fans something to cheer about is the best they can hope for, I think top six may be out of sight, I know top four is with the way it’s gone.

“The expectation now is to finish the season well, maybe have a good run in the cup.

“Give the manager the opportunity in the summer to try and bring the kind of players that he wants, to implement the style that he wants to play.”

Arsenal have really improved under their new manager during the past couple of month but this season, the North London club have suffered too many draws.

So far, the Gunners have picked up 13 draws in the league which is one of the main reasons why they are stuck in the middle of the table.

While the fans would want to believe that Arsenal can still challenge for the top-four but they still have to play teams like Wolves, Man City, Spurs and even Liverpool. So it is safe to say that Arteta’s men will be playing in the Europa League for one more season.

Arsenal were supposed to play vs Manchester City in midweek but that match was postponed due to the recent coronavirus outbreak but their next game vs Brighton and Hove Albion is set to be played as scheduled.
