Cardiff City lost their last Premier League encounter 2-1 against Chelsea and right now their top division hopes are hanging in the balance.

Chelsea won the match courtesy of a late winner from Ruben Loftus Cheek but during the match, there were a series of decisions which went against the Bluebirds.

Chelsea’s first goal was clearly offside, Cardiff City should have gotten a few penalties and then Antonio Rudiger should also have been sent off but somehow the match officials chose to overlook each and every decision.

And Neil Warnock was clearly not happy with the poor referring during the match.

Next up, Cardiff City take on Manchester City in the Premier League and Warnock has dropped a bombshell claiming that he could field a reserve side vs the defending champions.

Neil Warnock said: “I think we can keep the score down at Man City, I think we can keep it to single figures.

“But I might play the reserves down there, it’ll be interesting to see what the journalists think of that.

“We keep getting knock-backs, I will probably play the U23s on Wednesday against Manchester City and try to keep it down to 10 or 11.

“It doesn’t matter who you play at the minute, it is who has a flag in his hand and who has a whistle.”

Cardiff City are currently 18th on the Premier League table and we are pretty confident that Warnock will come to his senses and name a regular first Xi on Wednesday.

But if the Bluebirds manager does decide to name a reserve team then surely Liverpool will not be too happy with this decision.

Playing against a second string side, Man City are almost guaranteed three points which would take them up to the top spot once again.

And while a lot of Liverpool fans have raised their voices against this decision but the Cardiff City boss is clearly not too pleased with the level of management in the Premier League and he might just throw a spanner into the title race.
