AC Milan want Tomori Chelsea FC

Chelsea are not too keen to call back winger Jeremie Boga from Sassuolo by activating their buy-back clause – according to Sport Mediaset.

The 23-year-old is a product of the Chelsea academy but in 2018 he was sold off to Sassuolo for a transfer price of just €3 million. And this season, he has finally caught the attention of a number of clubs by scoring eight goals and four assists in just 24 Serie A matches.

Last week, several reports had claimed that Chelsea manager Frank Lampard could activate a buy-back clause in the winger’s contract and bring Boga back to Stamford Bridge.

But now as per a report in Sport Mediaset, the Premier League club are not eager to trigger the clause and call back the 23-year-old in the summer

The report claims: “Sassuolo evaluates the player 20 million euros, the Azzurri (who had contacted the agent already in December) are ahead of Milan who are now also distracted by the Rangnick issue.

“In all this to be evaluated also the variable Chelsea, which has the right to buy back the player for 16 million, but who does not seem interested in taking back the player.”

Are Chelsea making a big mistake?

Jeremie Boga has a release clause of just £13 million which is why a number of people think that Lampard should call him back to England next season.

But the Blues boss is clearly not too interested in the Ivorian interest primarily since he already has played like Christian Pulisic and Callum Hudson-Odoi who can do a much better job on the left-wing.

Italian clubs Napoli and AC Milan have both shown interest in signing Jeremie Boga and as per some rumours, it’s Milan who are currently the frontrunners in signing the winger.

AC Milan are planning to offer two young midfielders in exchange for the 23-year-old and there’s a big chance that Sassuolo could accept this arrangement.
