Jose Mourinho has been appointed the new Tottenham manager which instantly means he is going to have a fierce rivalry vs Unai Emery during the North London Derby.

Mourinho was expected to replace Unai Emery as the next Gunners boss and even the fans have been warming up to this news despite being totally against it in the first place.

But now that the Portuguese has taken charge of the Lilywhites, sparks are surely to fly when the two teams next meet during the North London Derby.

While Poch was at the helm even though the rivalry was ardent but there was no major animosity between the two managers. But with Jose Mourinho at the helm for Spurs, all the niceness and respected will surely be flushed down the drain.

And when Unai Emery was asked the same thing by the reporters, the manager chose to avoid getting dragged into any unnecessary controversies since they are not going to be involved in a North London Derby anytime soon.

Emery said in his press conference: “It is not our next match. It’s a surprise how the relationship with Pochetinno ended but I don’t know exactly why.

“He’s (Mourinho) a very good coach, His career is very strong with titles and experience. I also think Pochetinno’s work at Tottenham was amazing.

“Maybe the last matches they didn’t achieve a good result but the last year with Pochetinno was perfect.

“They decided to change and I don’t know the reason but we have our way and they have their way.”
