Fabinho is fully fit and available for selection when Liverpool take on Manchester United in the Premier League this Sunday.

The Brazilian started the 2019-20 season in superb form and for the first half of the season, he was without a doubt one of Liverpool’s unsung heroes.

But unfortunately, Fabinho picked up a ligament injury towards the end of the November and he has been out since.

So far, the player has missed 14 matches for Liverpool but in his pre-match press conference, Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Fabinho along with Joel Matip will be fit to take on Manchester United.

“Joel and Fabinho trained completely normal yesterday and the day before so that means they are likely to be in the squad,” Klopp told reporters.

And now speaking about the midfielder’s return, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has claimed that it will be a massive boost for the Reds now that Fabinho is back to full fitness.

“It’s a massive lift for us,” Oxlade-Chamberlain told Liverpoolfc.com.

“He is a crucial part of this team and he has proved ever since he has been here how good he is.

“Especially at the start of this season, up until unfortunately he got injured, he was absolutely brilliant – really pivotal in our team and our success. And someone that every week you could rely on to put in a really, really good performance.

“You see in glimpses how good he can be going forward; his passing, he often provides chances with balls over the top, the goal against Man City. He can really add in that department.

“Defensively, he has been brilliant. He’s a massive lift for us.”

While the return of the Brazilian is indeed good news we don’t think the manager will risk throwing him straight into the mix especially since Man United have some of the fastest forwards in the Premier League.
