Arsene Wenger’s managerial career is amongst some serious turmoil. Almost all of the Gunners supporters want him to leave the club.

The supporters have also turned their wrath towards the Arsenal management claiming that they should bring in a new manager in the summer. But amongst all this Wenger has stood tall and said that he is not going anywhere. And by the looks of it, Wenger has a very unlikely supporter beside him.

Arch rival and ex-United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has come out in support and praise of his former counterpart. Ferguson has praised the way the Wenger has managed the club for the past two decades.

He also warned the Gunners that it would be difficult for them to find a suitable replacement if they do decide to let Wenger go.

Ferguson told Sky Sports, “I think that stability that a manager like Arsene Wenger has brought to Arsenal, Brian Clough at Nottingham Forest, myself at United.”

“There’s no evidence that sacking a manager brings success, but there is evidence that Arsene Wenger, myself and Brian Clough can bring success with long-termism.”

Ferguson has also praised the grit and determination of Wenger. Wenger has suffered criticism for a few months now but has never bowed down to it. Sir Alex claimed that this is a unique quality.

Ferguson also raised concern over the potential of bringing in a new manager. Ferguson outrightly questioned the club about their future plans if they do decide to sack Wenger.

“Who are you going to get that is going to keep that club the way they are. The way they have been for the last 20 years”

Wenger surely has some serious high-profile supporters that are backing his managerial future. But with the ever-growing voice of concern from the fans will Wenger be able to get one round to prove his capabilities all over again?
