Arsenal beat Valencia in the Europa League semi-final last week and will now take on Chelsea in the final.
While the Blues have to sweat it out in order to get past Eintracht in the semis, Arsenal, on the other hand, cruised through with an aggregate scoreline of 7-3.
The final will be played later this month at the Baku Olympic Stadium in Azerbaijan and this game has been the centre of debate for a couple of days now.
The first major cause of concern for everyone is that Baku is miles apart from London and right now there are no direct flight to Azerbaijan which means the travelling fans will have to spend a fortune to get there.
Also, such a long journey will surely have some problems for the players but Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka is not ready to indulge in such issues.
“We can’t change anything,” Xhaka said.
“It is not our job to say something about this – it is one game, it is a final and the better team win.
“I don’t know when we (will) go to Baku but it is one game. It is not about Baku, or we play in Europe or somewhere else.
“You have to be ready in this 90 minutes and you have to be ready in this moment.
“I think history is nice – if you can be in the history of this amazing club it is something to make you proud but first we have to win.”
Chelsea and Arsenal have been allocated only 6000 tickets each for the finals in Baku and this has infuriated both sets of fans because the Baku Olympic Stadium has an official capacity of 68,700.
Arsenal have already released a statement claiming that they will hold dialogues with UEFA in order to try and increase the total number of allocated tickets.
“We are in active discussions with UEFA for more tickets for our fans but this disappointing ticket allocation obviously presents us with extreme difficulties in how we allocate tickets to you, our loyal supporters,” the club said in a statement(via talkSPORT).
“It is inevitable that with an allocation of just 6,000 tickets for the final, there will be thousands of fans who have supported the club for years and been part of our Europa League journey this season, who will be unable to attend this match.”
“This is a disappointing situation.”
Chelsea have been allocated 5801 tickets but the club have not confirmed if they will urge UEFA to increase the number of tickets for the Europa League final.
