Norwich City were thrashed 3-0 by Liverpool in their season opener and things are not going to get any better as they now take on Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.

The Canaries have a really poor record against City, winning just two out of the 31 matches they have played away from home. And in their last three outings, Norwich City have managed to score only one goal against the defending champions while conceding 14.

The manager could be without several first-team players for this journey so he is expected to make minimal changes to his line-up which faced Liverpool last weekend.

Daniel Farke will be really hoping his side can pick up something from this match since they face Leicester City and Arsenal in their next two games meaning there’s every chance they will be dwindling in the relegation zone after the first half-a-dozen games.

Norwich City’s team news vs Man City:

Ben Gibson and Grant Hanley is the the first-choice centre-back pairing for Norwich City and they will start against Manchester City as Zimmermann watches from the bench.

Max Aarons will obviously start on the right-hand side of defence with summer signing Dimitrios Giannoulis playing at left-back.

Billy Gilmour made a pretty average debut in the middle of the pitch but Daniel Farke will rely on the Chelsea youngster once again, this time to stop either Grealish or Kevin De Bruyne.

Pierre Lees Melou got a rating of 7.2 out of 10 on Whoscored for his performance against Liverpool so he will be one of the first names on the teamsheet for the manager this weekend.

Lukas Rupp will operate on the left-hand side of midfield as Lees Melou is more apt on playing on the right-hand side.

Milot Rashica joined Norwich City from Werder Bremen in the summer but his first league game was not particularly a top-notch performance but he will have a chance to redeem himself this weekend against Manchester City.

Teemu Pukki will lead the line with 23-year-old Todd Cantwell playing on the right flank.

Norwich City predicted line-up vs Man City:

Predicted Starting XI(4-3-3): Krul; Hanley, Ben Gibson, Max Aarons, Giannoulis; Billy Gilmour, Lukas Rupp, Lees-Melou; Rashica, Cantwell, Teemu Pukki.
