Wolves started their Premier League campaign with a 1-0 loss to Leicester City and next up they face Tottenham Hotspur, a club that is being managed by Nuno Espirito Santo.

Bruno Lage will be eager to pick up all three points this weekend, just to prove to the Molineux supporters that he is the worthy successor to Nuno.

That though will be easier said than done since the Wolves boss could be without as many as seven first-team players. And just like any new manager, he is still to figure out his best starting line-up as well as his formations.

Adding to the injury woes, Wolves do not have the best of records against Spurs as they have failed to beat the North London side in their last five home games in all competitions.

Wolves team news vs Tottenham Hotspur:

Lage is expected to stick with the 3-4-3 formation on Sunday meaning Conor Coady, Romain Saiss and Kilman will pair up in the three-man defensive line.

Willy Bolly is sidelined with a hamstring strain and will not be available for selection.

The manager has little option in central midfield so Ruben Neves and Joao Moutinho will start against Spurs as well.

Ki-Jana Hoever was one of the standout players in that 1-0 loss to Leicester City so he is likely to keep his place in the side which would mean Nelson Semedo will miss out.

Pedro Neto is another key player who is on the injury list after he picked up a knee injury. The winger is set to undergo surgery so he will be absent as well.

With Neto missing, Adama Traore was used on the left flank by Bruno Lage and the 25-year-old was the star performer for Wolves last weekend. He will once again operate on the same flank with Trincao playing on the right-hand side.

Raul Jimenez will play as the main man up front.

Daniel Podence should have been fit by now but he did not feature in the matchday squad against Leicester City and as per The Athletic’s Wolves reporter Tim Spiers, he is still about a month away from a return.

Wolves predicted line up vs Spurs:

Predicted XI(3-4-3): Sa; Saiss, Coady, Kilman; Ruben Neves, Moutinho, Marcal, Hoever/Semedo; Trincao, Raul Jimenez, Traore.
