It was a happy Thursday night for the English Premier League as both Arsenal and Chelsea qualified for the Europa League semi-finals.

Arsenal beat Napoli with an aggregate scoreline of 3-0 while Chelsea overcame Slavia Prague with a scoreline of 5-3 over the two legs.

The Gunners had a rather easy outing vs Napoli which most pundits failed to predict and the North London club despite facing a bit of pressure during the second leg, Unai Emery’s men rarely broke a sweat.

And it looks like Chelsea boss, Maurizio Sarri is not too happy that his former club have been knocked out of the Europa League.

Speaking to the Metro, Sarri said: “I’m not happy that Napoli are out because, if the final is Chelsea v Napoli, I’m sure at the end of the match I’d be really happy.

“This time I don’t want to play the final; I want to win the final.

“To win the competition it’ll be very difficult. Eintracht are a great team with a wonderful striker in Luka Jovic.”

While Arsenal have an easy ticket to the semis, but Chelsea received a late scare in the second half when Slavia managed to score three quickfire goals in the second half.

Even though the Czech side did not manage to cause any major upset but Sarri will surely have to look into this and urge his defenders to tighten up given they still have to fight for that top-four spot on the Premier League table.

Next up Chelsea will take on Eintracht in the semi-final of the Europa League and the first leg will be played at the Commerzbank-Arena.
