Aaron Ramsey playing for Arsenal
Aaron Ramsey playing for Arsenal

Former Arsenal star Aaron Ramsey has found it really hard to have any major impact in the Serie A which is why he could be eyeing a return to the Premier League in the summer, claims Calciomercato.

A roughly translated version of the report reads: “Contract expiring in 2023 with Juventus, Aaron Ramsey could return to the Premier League in the summer: the Welshman born in 1990 likes West Ham and Liverpool.”

Aaron Ramsey left Arsenal to join Juventus in the summer of 2019 on a free transfer but the midfielder has found it really hard to live up to the hype which he had created in England.

During the 2020-21 season, the Welsh international has played in only 18 league matches so far, out of which six have come off the bench. But he’s managed to assist five and score two goals in these matches.

Aaron Ramsey to West Ham or Liverpool?

Liverpool look all set to lose Gini Wijnaldum in the summer as reports claim that he has refused to sign a new deal at the club and is wanting to join Barcelona in the summer.

So there’s no doubt Jurgen Klopp will be looking to bring in a long-term replacement for Wijnaldum and someone like Aaron Ramsey perfectly fits the brief.

West Ham United are also planning to bring in midfield reinforcements in the summer if they can finish in the top-four. But we don’t think they stand a chance if Liverpool are really interested in signing the Juventus misfit.

Some pundits think Mikel Arteta should try and sign Aaron Ramsey back from Juventus but this arrangement does not make any sense especially since the Gunners already have players like Thomas Partey and Odegaard at their disposal.

The 30-year-old still has two years left on his current deal with Juventus but the Old Lady will look to cash in on him this summer itself as the club look to balance their books.

Liverpool will try and make a move for him once they announce the exit of Wijnaldum and even though West Ham United will try to make an offer but we really doubt if Aaron Ramsey will snub the defending champions to play for the Hammers.
