Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri currently has three options to solve his front man problem.

The first one is obviously to stick with what he has – Olivier Giroud and Alvaro Morata, both of whom are misfiring heavily ever since the first game of the season.

Morata should have been the first choice striker for Sarri but the former Real Madrid man is yet to secure his place in the first eleven.

Alvaro Morata has failed to score goals whenever he has been given the opportunity and the same is the case with Olivier Giroud.

The second option will have to be buying a new striker which will be very tough in the middle of the season.

Chelsea will either have to pay an inflated price if they wish to bring in a world class player in January or they will have to settle in for a panic buy(think Danny Drinkwater).

Now coming to the third option which is to bring back Michy Batshuayi from Valencia.

Batshuayi was loaned out to the Spanish side during the summer and the Belgian has failed to impress during his time in the La Liga.

Batshuayi currently has only a single goal against his name from 13 appearances in the league and reports suggest, Valencia are planning to send the player back to Chelsea.

Valencia are planning to bring in a new permanent striker during the January transfer window and hence they have no need for Michy Batshuayi.

But if reports are to be believed then Chelsea will have the final call on whether they want to cancel the loan spell.

In case Michy Batshuayi does eventually come back to Stamford Bridge chances are that Chelsea will send him off for a second loan spell instead of keeping him in the wings.

Michy Batshuayi’s career in Spain has not gone as planned and it is only a matter of time before Chelsea finally decide to offload him for good.

Hence, Maurizio Sarri will have to go with option number two and bring in a new striker sometime next year.
