Arsenal have made a terrible start to their 21/22 Premier League campaign and after the loss to Man City, the fans have been urging the board to sack Mikel Arteta.

The Gunners have lost all three of their Premier League matches, conceding nine goals and failing to score even a single one. Their only positive result came in the Carabao Cup against West Brom.

City thumped five goals past Arsenal on Saturday meaning the Gunners are now sitting at the bottom of the league table. But as per The Express, the Arsenal owners have no immediate plans of sacking Mikel Arteta.

The report claims: “Arsenal sit at the bottom of the table heading into the international break with pressure mounting on Mikel Arteta while reports emerged last week of a potential takeover from the same owners of Paris Saint-Germain.

“But it’s now being reported that Stan Kroenke has no plans to change anything drastic at the club with Arteta seemingly safe for now.”

The Kronke’s have pumped in a lot of money during the summer and they clearly feel that Mikel Arteta is the man who will take the club forward in the coming months.

The fans have already given up hope of a good season thanks to the way their club have started but it looks like the club’s hierarchy are refusing to hit the panic button just yet.

Mikel Arteta has remained adamant that he is the right man for the job and at the moment he seems to have the board’s backing as well.

But having said that, the Gunners need to string together some good results in the next month-and-a-half or else the manager could be walking on a tight rope.

Mikel Arteta has gotten some time to rethink his strategy thanks to the international break and this time he needs to get things right.

After the break, Arsenal take on Norwich and Burnley and both these games are winnable, at least on paper. Six points from these two matches should be enough to calm some nerves before they take on Spurs in the North London derby at the end of next month.
