Man Utd have been linked with Leicester City’s James Maddison all throughout the season and according to Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes, the playmaker is more than capable of representing such a big club.

James Maddison has scored six and assisted three goals in 28 Premier League matches this season and despite the Foxes trying desperately to hold onto him, there’s a big chance the England international could look to secure a move out of the club in the summer.

The Dons boss told the Press and Journal, via Goal: “I always thought James was the best technician of a ball I’ve seen.

“I haven’t seen someone who manipulates the ball in the way he can and that potential is really being realised now.

“James has said that coming to Aberdeen has helped be the making of him because he had to grow up a bit, he had to tough things out and he had to learn how to deal with the demands of playing here.

“He was developing then and the games up here were tough for him. You can’t say that you watched him and thought he would go from playing with us, back to Norwich, on to Leicester and then potentially to a club like Manchester United so quickly.

“But you see him now, he has developed so much that I think he could play for any of the big clubs in England. That’s how good he is.

“The improvement in him over the last two seasons especially has been massive and it shows what can be done.”

James Maddison to Man Utd?

Man Utd have added Bruno Fernandes to their ranks in January but Ole is looking to bring in one more player to partner the Portuguese in and around the final third.

At the start of this season, there was a huge buzz that Man Utd wanted to sign the Leicester man but over the past couple of months, these rumours have died down with Jack Grealish emerging as the new favourite for the Red Devils.

James Maddison remains a top-quality player as he has been the fulcrum for Brendan Rodgers’ side this season but we do not think Man Utd will look to make a move for him not only because Leicester will try really hard to hold onto him given he has three years left on his current deal.

But unlike Maddison, Jack Grealish has actually shown an inclination towards joining the Old Trafford outfit.
