James Milner joined Liverpool in 2015 from Manchester City on a free transfer and right now the midfielder is one of the most trusted players in the Reds squad.

To be honest, it would really diabolical to call James Milner a midfielder since the 33-year-old plays wherever Jurgen Klopp tells him to. And with one year left on his current deal at the club, the player is sure to commit his future to the club by signing a new deal.

But speaking to the media, Milner has hinted that he could end his career somewhere else since Liverpool are yet to approach him over a contract at the club.

“As it stands, last year we spoke to the club and asked them if they wanted to do something and they said not at that time,” he told reporters(as reported by Goal).

“We haven’t heard anything since, so that’s where we are at.

“All I can do is concentrate on my football and do what I can.

“But in terms of where I am with my contract, that’s what has happened up until now and I haven’t heard anything from the club.”

“I’d like to think so[when asked about playing for a number of more years].

“Everyone pipes on about my age and stuff I understand you are going to get that.

“There are three things to it: availability, fitness and performance level.

“Hopefully I am delivering all three. I am just going to keep concentrating on my football, keep contributing to Liverpool and be the best player I can be for as long as possible.”

“I remember making my debut and how lucky I was to have senior players around me.

“If I can be half as good with these guys as the older players were with me at Leeds, I will help them as much as I can.”

James Milner is one of those unsung heroes that every team has and Jurgen Klopp very well knows the importance of the midfielder. So it is more or certain that the Reds will offer him a new deal at the club some time this year.
