Kepa Arrizabalaga has been under immense scrutiny at Chelsea during the current season and with each passing game his errors were creeping up.

While Frank Lampard chose to stand by his Spanish keeper for a really long time but against Leicester City, the manager chose to make a strong statement by dropping Kepa Arrizabalaga to the bench vs Leicester City.

Instead of Kepa, the manager chose to name Willy Caballero in the starting line-up and there have been rumours that the same arrangement could continue when Chelsea take on Manchester United on Monday.

And when Lampard was asked this question, the manager hinted that he has made his decision as to who will play in goal at Stamford Bridge.

“The reaction has been as good as I would expect,” Lampard said of how Kepa has trained this week, as quoted by Football London. “I haven’t had lots of conversations with him. It’s a decision I will have to make.

“It doesn’t matter when you came to the club, I don’t take into account the fee. It’s the training that counts.

“It wasn’t about giving him a jolt. It was just a selection on that day. I want everyone’s reaction spot on.

“I know how it will feel for him. I had it in my career, it is part and parcel. I am pleased with the reaction.

“I deal with the players as it feels right. I am open and straight with them.

“I have decided and you’ll find out(on whether Kepa Arrizabalaga will start or not)”

Kepa Arrizabalaga has been under real pressure and his dropping from the starting line-up vs the Foxes was a clear signing that the manager has no reason to respect him due to his high transfer price. And during the past month, there have also been rumours that the Blues are looking to bring in a new goalkeeper during the summer transfer window.
