Manchester City take on Norwich City in their second game of the new Premier League season and there’s a big chance that Kevin De Bruyne will be an absentee for this match.
De Bruyne came on as a sub during last weekend’s game but the manager has now revealed that the Belgian has not trained with the squad on Friday.
Guardiola though has refused to rule him out saying that he will go through a late fitness test to determine his availability.
Apart from Kevin De Bruyne, Phil Foden is also on the sidelines with an ankle injury and he will be back to full fitness only after a few weeks.
The manager said in his press conference: “Kevin could not train today,
“We’ll see how he feels tomorrow. Gundo is fit to play. Phil Foden will be ready after the break.”
Jack Grealish in place of Kevin De Bruyne as the No 10?
It was Jack Grealish who started in that No 10 role for Manchester City against Tottenham Hotspur and if Kevin De Bruyne is not fully fit then the summer signing will hold onto that spot.

Jack Grealish is more than capable of operating in that playmaker’s role and since Norwich City aren’t the toughest of opponents, the manager will not be sweating too much.
And since Phil Foden is also out injured, Raheem Sterling will be deployed on the left flank.
Ilkay Gundogan being fit means Bernardo Silva will once again have to be content with a place on the bench this weekend.
