Arsenal have been linked with a transfer for Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney and initially, it was thought that this would be a simple buy for the Gunners.

But with each passing day, it seems like Arsenal are sweating it out and right now Celtic clearly have the upper hand.

The North London club have tabled a first bid of £15 million for Kieran Tierney but that was immediately rejected by the Bhoys.

Now reports have claimed that the Gunners have made another offer which is in the region of £18-20 million and are confident that this will convince Celtic to sell off Kieran Tierney.

But now, Neil Lennon has dropped a bombshell claiming that he has no idea of a second bid and will certainly not let the left-back leave for cheap.

Lennon said: “Not that I’m aware of(a second bid). Arsenal are aware of what we value the player at. He’s on a long-term contract, he’s an asset and we don’t want to sell him.

“It’s going to have to take a lot more than what they’ve offered the first time around to give us a decision to make.

“I’ve had a chat with him as it can be a difficult decision and bit unsettling. I’ve been there myself so it’s important that we support him regardless of the outcome.”

Celtic are demanding somewhere around £25 million as transfer fee for Kieran Tierney and it is still unclear why Arsenal are not willing to pay this amount especially when they need the left-back so badly.

The Gunners currently have Sead Kolasinac and Nacho Monreal as their first team left-back but both of them have failed to deliver for the team during the previous season.

As per the market in Scotland, this transfer fee might look a fairly deserving one but most experts have claimed that Celtic will be making a big blunder if they let Kieran Tierney join Arsenal for a fee of £25 million.
