Liverpool take on Southampton in the Premier League on Friday and if Man City win their midweek fixture then the pressure will once again be back on the Reds.

Liverpool went back to the top of the table after beating Spurs 2-1 last Sunday but if City win their clash vs Cardiff then Guardiola’s men will once again leapfrog over Liverpool.

Theoretically, everyone expects Liverpool to win the encounter vs the Saints quite easily but many pundits fear, Klopp’s men could crumble under pressure.

Liverpool news vs the Saints:

Going into this game, Jurgen Klopp has a relatively fit squad and perhaps the only major injury concern is with Virgil Van Dijk.

Van Dijk picked up an ankle injury during Liverpool’s win vs Spurs but now reports have claimed that the injury is not too serious and the defender should be back in action against his former side.

This means the Dutcham will start in central defence alongside Joel Matip with Robertson playing as the left-back and Trent Alexander Arnold playing as the right-back.

James Milner started in central midfield vs the Lilywhites but vs the Saints, Fabinho should return back to the starting XI alongside Henderson and Wijnaldum which means Naby Keita will be warming the benches once again.

There’s absolutely no prizes for guessing that the frontline will consist of Sadio Mane and Mo Salah who will operate down the flanks while Roberto Firmino will play down the middle.
