Manchester United take on Liverpool in the Premier League on Sunday and Jurgen Klopp’s men are outright favourites to win this fixture.

But it seems that the footballing Gods might just be in favour of Jose Mourinho and his team.

Liverpool have already been battling with injuries before the game and now reports are claiming that there is one more addition to that list.

Joe Gomez is already out until the end of January while Joel Matip broke a collarbone during the 1-0 win vs Napoli in midweek.

And now it is being reported that even Trent Alexander-Arnold could be in line to miss the Liverpool vs Man United clash on Sunday.

Alexander-Arnold picked up a foot injury during the Champions League game which at first was believed to be a minor one.

But now it seems he will take time to recover and is likely to be unavailable for selection on Sunday.

Dejan Lovren is set to return back to central defence alongside Virgil Van Dijk now that both Matip and Gomez are not available but the real problem for Jurgen Klopp will be to sort out the Alexander-Arnold issue.

The manager does have the option of using James Milner in that position of Alexander-Arnold but then Liverpool would lose one hardworking midfielder.

But looking at all the injuries, Jurgen Klopp will have to play James Milner at full-back in replacement of Trent Alexander-Arnold meaning either Naby Keita or Fabinho will come into the starting XI.
