Liverpool are back in the Premier League this weekend as they take on Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.

Liverpool go into this game at the back of a humiliating 4-1 loss to Manchester City and that defeat means the Reds are now 10 points behind the league leaders.

The Anfield outfit have won 12 of their last 17 Premier League matches against Leicester City but going into this game, Klopp’s men are actually the team who are low on confidence and there’s a big chance they could once again drop points on Saturday.

Leicester City are three points ahead of the Reds at this point in time so if Klopp’s side fail to pick up a win on Saturday then we are surely going to have a new domestic champion at the end of this season.

Liverpool team news vs Leicester City:

Alisson Becker was at fault for two of the four goals that Liverpool conceded against Manchester City but the Brazilian will reprise his role in front of goal against the Foxes.

The defensive woes continue for the Reds with Van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip all out injured – possibly for the rest of the season. Fabinho and Henderson started in central defence against City and the pair could once again get a start this weekend.

The Reds have signed Ozan Kabak during the January transfer window but we doubt if Klopp will want to throw him in against a strong side like Leicester City. The centre-back should start on the bench.

Thiago has been really underwhelming so far this season but the Spaniard is one of the best midfielders in the Premier League so he should retain his place in the starting line-up at the King Power Stadium.

Some pundits feel Jordan Henderson should be brought back into midfield in place of Thiago but Klopp will need an experienced head in central defence against the Foxes which is why the manager is not likely to tinker with his backline on Saturday.

Naby Keita is taking a long time recovering from his injury and is not going to be ready for this weekend’s game either.

Curtis Jones played in midfield against City last weekend but the youngster is expected to make way for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain this time around. Wijnaldum will keep his place.

Mo Salah scored the only goal for Liverpool against Pep Guardiola’s side and as Klopp is really short of variables in the attacking third, the Egyptian will once again get a start along with Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino.
