Premier League side West Ham United are planning to sell off midfielder Manuel Lanzini during the summer transfer window, according to the Football Insider.

The report claims: “West Ham are planning to sell Manuel Lanzini this summer if their £15million asking price is met, Football Insider can exclusively reveal.

“A West Ham source has told Football Insider that the club value Lanzini between £10m and £15m after he slipped down the pecking order in David Moyes’ second spell at the club.

“There was not only interest from European big guns PSG in the recent window. Clubs in Turkey and the Middle-East were also keeping close tabs on the technically gifted playmaker, who has been capped five times by Argentina.”

Should West Ham United sell Manuel Lanzini in the summer?

Manuel Lanzini has played in only 11 Premier League games this season for West Ham United and most of these appearances have come off the bench.

Despite PSG’s interest, David Moyes did not want to part ways with the 27-year-old during the middle of the season but now with the arrival of Jesse Lingard, Moyes has no use of Lanzini and will let him leave if the Hammers can hold onto Lingard permanently.

Lanzini is clearly struggling for game time at West Ham United and with so many big European clubs interested in signing him, the summer transfer window will be the perfect time for the club to cash in on him.

We kind of feel that a price-tag of £15million is a bit low for someone who still has two years left on his current deal. But, at the same time, we doubt if the interested clubs will be willing to pay anything more than that for a midfielder who’s played just 311 minutes of top division football this season.
