Tottenham Hotspur will take on Wolves in the English Premier League this weekend and midfielder Giovani Lo Celso will miss out with a thigh injury.

Jose Mourinho, while talking to the press confirmed that the 24-year-old will be out of action for the holiday period meaning he will not be available for selection vs Wolves.

The manager said, as reported: “Gio no, he will not be fit. Tanguy is fit but he didn’t come to Stoke. My decision, but he is fit,

“I don’t know, I believe that he[Lo Celso] will not be playing in this period of Christmas and New Year for sure.”

Giovani Lo Celso has featured in 11 Premier League games this season so far and he will be a big miss for Spurs this weekend.

Spurs have suffered losses in their last two league matches and Wolves certainly have the capability of inflicting a third straight loss to Mourinho’s side.

While the absence of Lo Celso will be a setback but the manager has confirmed midfielder Tanguy Ndombele is fully fit and available for selection.

After the Wolves game, Spurs take on Fulham and Leeds United in the Premier League, following which they are back in the EFL Cup where they take on Brentford.

So at least on paper, all these are winnable matches for Spurs and even without Lo Celso at his disposal, Mourinho has enough firepower to set up a perfectly strong starting XI.
