Man United face AC Milan in the Champions League Round of 16 this week and they go into this second leg with the tie very evenly balanced at 1-1.

Milan managed to score that crucial away goal in injury time last week at Old Trafford meaning Man United will have to find the back of the net at the San Siro on Thursday. And this will undoubtedly be an uphill battle since Milan have won four of their five home matches against United in European competitions.

Manchester United are undefeated in 24 of their last 26 matches in the Europa League and they also go into the second leg at the back of a gritty 1-0 win over West Ham United in the Premier League.

Ole is expected to get back a number of his regular first-team players this week meaning we could see a bit of a shuffle to the starting line-up which faced the Hammers on Sunday evening.

Man United team news vs AC Milan:

David De Gea is back from Spain and is in contention for the Milan game but we don’t think Ole will drop Dean Henderson to the bench because the youngster has done a decent job in the past few matches.

Luke Shaw is an automatic starter at left-back as the England international is currently the best player in the Man United squad. Lindelof played in central defence vs West Ham United but he could make way for Eric Bailly.

Fred and McTominay will be the defensive midfield partnership of choice on Thursday but the manager has hinted that Paul Pogba could be ready to face AC Milan. If Pogba is fully fit then the Frenchman is a guaranteed starter.

Donny van de Beek is another player who is also back to full fitness but even if he is available, Solskjaer is not going to select him over Bruno Fernandes.

Greenwood was the standout player for Man United vs the Hammers and the youngster is going to keep his place in the starting line-up at the San Siro. On Sunday, he played up front but this time he will have to operate on the right wing since Martial is going to return to the side

Edinson Cavani is another player who could be fit before the second leg but this will be touch and go and only a late fitness test will determine his availability.

Rashford and Bruno Fernandes much like Luke Shaw are automatic selections for the starting XI.

Man United’s predicted XI vs AC Milan:

Predicted Starting XI: Dean Henderson; Maguire, Bailly/Lindelof, Shaw, Wan-Bissaka; Fred/Pogba, McTominay, Bruno Fernandes; Rashford, Martial, Greenwood.
