Man United are struggling to find their feet this season but despite their poor style of play, the Red Devils are still grinding out results.

Manchester United have won four out of their previous five Premier League matches and they will be eyeing a comfortable win this weekend as well as they take on Everton at Goodison Park.

United are currently sixth on the EPL table but they are just seven points behind the league leaders so a win this weekend and they will come within touching distance of the top-four spot.

Everton, on the other hand, had made a mixed start to their campaign but they have just been slapped with a 10-point deduction which has immediately pushed them to the relegation zone. This deduction is sure to cause a stir amongst the Everton players and since they are playing at home on Sunday, Man United will have to be prepared for a fierce contest.

Manchester United’s team news and injuries:

Man United have done a great job considering that they have suffered 14 different injuries this season which is the joint highest till now and most of them are still sidelined.

Casemiro, Christian Eriksen and Jonny Evans are all ruled out but Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been training at Carrington and could be fit to start this weekend.

Luke Shaw has also reported back to training and the left-back will be in line to make a comeback which is going to be a huge boost for Erik ten Hag.

Andre Onana missed Cameroon’s second World Cup qualifier due to a knock he had picked up during the first game. However, as per reports, the keeper will be fit and available for the trip to Goodison Park.

Lisandro Martinez was also spotted training at Carrington but the central defender is still a few weeks away from full fitness. With Evans and Martinez both out injured, Varane should be coming back up the pecking order but we think the Man United manager is going to use the pairing of Maguire and Lindelof in central defence.

Varane and Maguire both like to play as the right-sided central defender but based on current form, Harry Maguire will get the nod which means Lindelof will have to slot into the left-hand side.

Mason Mount will be itching for a start and with Casemiro and Eriksen both ruled out, the summer signing will be in line to feature in central midfield alongside McTominay.

Rasmus Hojlund withdrew from international duty due to an injury which means Marcus Rashford is going to lead the line on Sunday with Garnacho and Antony out wide. Hojlund’s injury is not serious and he should be back in action when Man United take on Galatasaray next week in the Champions League.

Erik ten Hag has told the press that Hojlund’s injury is not serious and he will face a late fitness test for Everton. However, if the Danish forward is not fit for Sunday then he will definitely be available for their UCL clash next week.

The United boss said on Thursday: “Rasmus Hojlund, not too bad. Everton will be a close finish but we’re working on that.”

UPDATE:

Mason Mount is the latest addition to the Man United injury list after having picked up a calf injury which will rule him out of the Everton game.
