Man United will be looking to keep their good run going when they take on Newcastle United in the Premier League this weekend.

Manchester United’s title hopes are more or less over but they are still in the run-in to win two more trophies plus they need to finish in the top four and secure a Champions League spot for the next season.

The Magpies are one of the contenders for the top four and they are undefeated in 19 of their last 21 matches in the Premier League. However, they haven’t kept a clean sheet in eight matches and with the kind of form that Man United are in right now, this one should be an easy three-pointer for them.

Newcastle United are just three points behind United which means if they can pick up a win on Sunday then they will go level on points with Erik ten Hag’s side.

Manchester United’s team news and injuries:

Raphael Varane, Marcel Sabitzer and Marcus Rashford were all recovering from injuries but all of them should be fit to start this weekend.

Casemiro is suspended which means Sabitzer will be starting in midfield alongside Fred. McTominay did very well during the international break but the Scott is not going to get a start.

Eriksen and Donny van de Beek are both ruled out so the midfield area is lacking serious depth and this is something that ETH will have to take special care of.

Casemiro’s suspension has the potential to turn Manchester United’s season on its head because the Brazilian international has been the fulcrum for the team this season.

The likes of Sabitzer and Fred will have to play out of their skins because anything other than a loss and Man United could fall out of the top four.

Anthony Martial was out with a hip injury but the Frenchman will be in line to make a comeback however, we don’t think he is going to get a start on Sunday. The Man United boss is going to rely on Weghorst to lead the line with Rashford and Antony operating as the two wide men.

Man United’s predicted line up vs Newcastle United:

Predicted Starting XI(4-2-3-1): De Gea; Varane, Martinez, Shaw, Wan-Bissaka; Fred, Sabitzer; Rashford, Antony, Fernandes; Weghorst.
