Man United have secured a top-four finish in the Premier League so their final game of the season will do very little to change their European fate for the next campaign.

Manchester United take on Wolves on Sunday in their final game of the season and with a key Europa League final coming up, the manager is expected to make a flurry of changes to his usual starting line-up.

Players like Cavani and Bruno Fernandes are going to be rested on Sunday but Ole will want to pick up a win at the same time since they have winless in the previous three league matches – drawing one and losing two.

Even if Manchester United do not win against Wolves, then also they will finish second on the table but Solskjaer will not want to take a deflated side into the Europa League final next week so we expect the manager to name a side who can put up a proper challenge to Wolves.

Also, Man United have been in great form away from home as they are undefeated in their last 25 away matches so, despite the recent hiccups, we expect the Old Trafford outfit to see this one through.

Manchester United team news vs Wolves:

Dean Henderson’s form has suddenly taken a dip so it’s safe to say that David De Gea will be the No 1 for Man United in the Europa League final.

The manager is obviously sweating over the fitness of defender Harry Maguire and in his recent press conference, Ole has admitted that the England international might not be fit to play in the Europa League final.

Ole said about Maguire’s injury status: “To be honest, I don’t think we’ll see him in Gdansk, no, but as I’ve said so many times, I’m going to give him until Tuesday night, the last training session, to see if he can try to be out there. Steadily but surely, he’s improving but ligaments take time to heal.”

With Maguire out, the last thing Ole will want is for Lindelof to pick up an injury so we expect him to be rested against Wolves. Alex Telles will replace Luke Shaw at left-back with Brandon Williams coming into the side in place of Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

Fred and McTominay both picked up knocks during the midweek game vs Fulham but the duo is fit and available for selection for Sunday.

The team news suggested: “The manager has plenty of options to consider as both Fred and Scott McTominay are available despite sustaining knocks against Fulham in midweek.”

But keeping the Villarreal game in mind, we expect the Manchester United boss to rest them and use Matic and Donny van de Beek in central midfield.

Juan Mata and Amad are also expected to come into the side, replacing Bruno Fernandes and Edinson Cavani. Dan James could be back into the side, playing on the left wing but if he is not fully fit then Elanga will occupy that space.

Anthony Martial was seen back on the training pitches this week but the manager has confirmed that the Frenchman will not be ready for Sunday’s trip to Molineux.
