West Ham United fans were hoping that their team would atleast make a decent enough start to the new season but four games later the Hammers are just as pathetic as they were the previous season.

Manuel Pellegrini is yet to register his first league win as the West Ham boss and his only competitive victory for the club came against a 10-man Wimbledon side in the League Cup.

West Ham have played big clubs like Arsenal and Liverpool so perhaps losing to them was not that much of a big deal. But the harsh reality is, Pellegrini side even failed to pick up points against the likes of Bournemouth and Wolves.

The fans have slowly started going against their manager as many feel that the boss wasted more than a 100 million pounds in the transfer market and has no points to show for it.

Naturally, the bookmarkers have backed Manuel Pellegrini to become the Premier League first manager to be sacked in the new season and so we decided to take a look at the managers who could replace him.

3. Rafa Benitez:

The current Newcastle boss is also under the same pressure as Pellegrini with the Magpies 18th on the league table with just a single point.

Benitez, unlike Pellegrini, has been with the club for a long time so if the former Liverpool boss cannot get his act straight in the coming few weeks then there’s no doubt that he will be walking out of the club.

And if that happens to coincide with the departure of Manuel Pellegrini then surely Benitez taking charge of West Ham is not a far-fetched dream/nightmare.

2. Sam Allardyce:

Big Sam is no stranger to the lifestyle at Hammers having spent four years with the club at Upton Park.

Many feel that Allardyce will be the right person to pull the club out a relegation battle hence then want his appointed as the new boss asap.

Sam Allardyce was also the manager who helped West Ham gain that elusive promotion back to Premier League after defeating Blackpool in the Championship play-offs.

1. Arsene Wenger:

A long shot really, but, you never know.

Arsene Wenger is without a job since stepping down as the Arsenal manager at the end of the season and almost everyone is certain that the Frenchman was more or less forced out of the club by the board as well as the fans.

And keeping in line with that, Wenger will surely be wanting one more chance of showing his old club that he has what it takes to manage at the big level.

So if the Hammers make an offer to Arsene Wenger, the Frenchman might just find it hard to resist.
