Rangers FC will travel to Slovenia this week in order to take on Maribor in the second leg of the third qualifying round of the Europa League and the Gers should come out victorious – unless there’s a huge turnaround from Maribor.

The Gers won the first leg at Ibrox 3-1 and with a two-goal advantage not many people feel that the tide will turn against the Scottish side.

If the Gers manager to win the two-legged tie then they will get face either Luxembourg side Progres Niederkorn or Russians FC Ufa in the playoff rounds.

But before the Light Blues travel to Slovenia it seems that Maribor striker Mitja Viler has indulged in a bit of a mind game.

Viler who scored the only goal for Maribor last week has called out Rangers for playing a foul game singling out their striker Alfredo Morelos for much of the attack.

Viler said: “We expected the Scots to be hard to play against, but we never expected it to be as bad as it was.

“They were very, very aggressive, especially their striker Alfredo Morelos.

“He is a very dirty player.

“All the time he was trying to kick us and every time he got the slightest knock, his feet seemed to go from underneath him.

“There’s no doubt Rangers will be a different team away from home. We will see how they react to being under pressure.

“To lose 3-1 was disappointing, but we are a different animal at home and the tie I not over, I can promise our fans that.”

Morelos was one of the goalscorers against Maribor in the first leg having opened the scoring in the 6th minute and he also won the penalty for the Light Blues which gave them their second goal right after half-time.

But this allegation against Alfredo Morelos is nothing new as the 22-year-old was shown a yellow card last weekend after kicking out at an Aberdeen player.

The red card though has since been downgraded to a yellow card meaning Alfredo Morelos will not be serving the stipulated three-match ban.
