Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante could very well be on his way to Italy as Serie A giants Inter Milan are very much serious about signing him.
SempreInter cite Gazzetta dello Sport saying: “N’Golo Kante joining Inter is now a possibility according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
“By raising funds through the sales of players, Inter will be able to meet Chelsea’s €50 million asking price for the French national team player, a price which has been approved by Chelsea manager Frank Lampard, who is willing to let Kante leave.
“Inter could sell Marcelo Brozovic or Milan Skriniar and their sale alone would give Inter the funds to pursue a move for Kante.”
Should Lampard let N’Golo Kante leave?
N’Golo Kante has been a key figure in the Chelsea midfield ever since joining the side back in 2016. But this previous season, his graph has precariously taken a nosedive.
He spent most of the past campaign out injured and could only manage to play in 22 Premier League games for the Blues.
Initially, it was thought Frank Lampard would part ways with Jorginho but now that does not seem to be the case since the Italian has been a consistent figure in the starting XI.
And with Kai Havertz coming in as well the Blues manager will have an abundance of midfielders next season so clearly has no use of N’Golo Kante anymore.
But what remains to be seen is if Antonio Conte’s side can manage to gather the required transfer funds in time or not.
