Paul Pogba is out of contract at the end of this season and in a massively candid interview, the midfielder has admitted that he is open to joining PSG next campaign.

Paul Pogba rejoined Manchester United in 2016 but since then he’s done nothing noteworthy for the Premier League side. In 222 appearances, he has scored only 40 goals and on the other hand, he has caused numerous problems.

With his contract set to expire soon, there were rumours that he is ready to leave and after this interview, Pogba has more or less made it clear that his future lies outside of Manchester United.

“Why not?” he told Le Figaro(via Fotmob), when asked about the possibility of joining PSG. “It’s always nice to play with your teammates in the national team and club.

“I have to be honest, I’m not happy with that – over the last five seasons, but really not at all. This year it’s dead, we won’t win anything again.

“Whether it’s with Manchester or another club, I want to win trophies.”

Should Man United let Paul Pogba leave in the summer?

In an ideal scenario, Man United should make him sign a new deal and then sell him off but at the same time, showing him the door will help the club save a lot of money in the form of wages.

Now, it’s almost certain that Paul Pogba is not going to sign a new deal and this could be the best thing that has happened to Manchester United in a long time.

The 29-year-old has massively divided opinion amongst the fans and the pundits but one thing’s for sure – he has been of no use to any of the managers.

Man United are planning the exodus of several unwanted players this summer and we are more than certain that Paul Pogba is going to be one of them. The club have been linked with several midfielders and we are sure that the hierarchy have already earmarked a replacement for the Frenchman.

Will Paul Pogba join PSG though?

PSG had another disappointing season in the Champions League so they will surely look for reinforcements in the summer.

Now that Pogba is open to joining the Ligue 1 side, PSG could very well make a move for him, especially since he will be available for free.

Real Madrid have also been linked with a move for the 29-year-old but if Paul Pogba wants to head back to France then Ancelotti’s side could back off.
