Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku is currently plying his trade with the Belgium national team in the World Cup and the 25-year-old has already managed to bag two goals in the opening game against Panama.

Lukaku scored his first goal courtesy of a header while his second game came from a swift counter-attack where he was fed an inch-perfect through ball and the striker neatly chipped it over the keeper and into the back of the net.

The Man United man has got off to a flyer at the World Cup and behind his fine form could be the hard work of Thierry Henry.

The former Arsenal man is currently working as the assistant to Belgium coach Roberto Martinez and Romelu Lukaku has revealed that the Frenchman has been helping him a lot during training.

Writing for the Players’ Tribune, Romelu Lukaku said: “Man, listen — when we were kids, we couldn’t even afford to watch Thierry Henry on Match of the Day! Now I’m learning from him every day with the national team.

“I’m standing with the legend, in the flesh, and he’s telling me all about how to run into space like he used to do. Thierry might be the only guy in the world who watches more football than me.

“We debate everything. We’re sitting around and having debates about German second division football.

I’m like, “Thierry, have you seen the Fortuna Düsseldorf setup, though?”

He’s like, “Don’t be silly. Yes, of course.”

That’s the coolest thing in the world, to me.”

Belgium comfortably won their opening game against World Cup debutants Panama by a scoreline of 3-0 and now Romelu Lukaku and co play their next match against Tunisia on Saturday.
