Rangers FC brought in Allan McGregor to the squad during the summer transfer window meaning the club now have two top class keepers.

Wes Foderingham was the club’s No 1 last season but McGregor’s arrival has pushed him to the bench.

And if reports are to be believed then the manager is planning to bring in one more keeper.

Football Insider are suggesting that Rangers are planning to make an offer to New Zealand international Stefan Marinovic.

FI believes that the club have already opened talks with the 27-year-old and they are very much serious in bringing him to Ibrox this month.

Marinovic played for the Vancouver Whitecaps in the MLS last season but currently, he is a free agent meaning signing him will not cost even a penny.

The keeper was at Hull City on a trail last month and the report believes that it was here that Stefan seemingly impressed everyone.

If he were to join Rangers then effectively he would become the third choice keeper at the club but that arrangement could only last until the end of the season.

Last summer there were reports that Wes Foderingham could leave the club but somehow that transfer could not go through.

But many people believe that Rangers might let the keeper leave during the summer transfer window.

This would mean that Stefan Marinovic would then move up the pecking order and given the age of Allan Mcgregor the senior pro might not last at Rangers for a long period of time.
