Wolves have admitted defeat in regards to holding onto Ruben Neves but as per the latest reports, he is not likely to remain in the Premier League.

Arsenal and Manchester United are very keen to sign the midfielder as both of them badly need midfield reinforcements before the next season begins. Neves is being viewed as the ideal candidate since he’s very experienced in the league.

United and the Gunners have already made contact with Wolves in the hopes of landing Neves but according to The Sunday Mirror, Barcelona are confident they will be able to secure this transfer, ahead of the others.

Have Barcelona managed to wrap up the transfer?

Barcelona are very close to bringing the midfielder on board but they are yet to wrap up the deal.

Xavi has reportedly contacted Ruben Neves telling him about Barcelona’s future plans and that the Portuguese international is being eyed as the long-term successor to Busquets.

Wolves have valued Neves at around £50m but Barcelona are ready to pay a lot more than that and this is one of the principal reasons why the Spanish side are the favourites. Neither Man United or Arsenal are willing to pay more than £45m for the 25-year-old.

Have Man United and Arsenal given up hopes of signing Ruben Neves?

Arsenal and Manchester United have both made moves for the midfielder and they haven’t yet given up hopes of signing him.

As per the reports, Man United are planning to make one final push for the 25-year-old because Erik ten Hag really likes him and wants him on board for the new-look United side next season.

ETH wants Ruben Neves as the replacement for the outgoing Paul Pogba and since Barcelona haven’t yet closed the deal, Man United will definitely try and stage a coup.

United have shied away from Declan Rice because he’s too expensive and Kalvin Phillips is not likely to leave Leeds United to join the Old Trafford outfit.

Arsenal are also in the hunt for a central midfielder and apart from Ruben Neves, the Gunners have also been linked with others like Youri Tielemans.

The North London side might not have given up hope but we have a feeling Arsenal will back off if they can get their hands on another midfielder.
