Rangers FC manager Steven Gerrard brought in a number of players from his former club Liverpool and youngster Ryan Kent has easily been the best of the bunch.

The young winger was brought on a season-long loan from Anfield and he is now one of the regulars under manager Steven Gerrard.

This early on into the season and Ryan Kent has already played 17 games for the Light Blues – scoring twice.

And this has led to many reports suggesting Rangers are keen to make the loan deal permanent at the end of the current season.

Steven Gerrard has come to the realization that Ryan Kent has a long-term future at Ibrox and has supposedly made contact with Liverpool to make the deal permanent.

After initial hesitation, the Reds have finally agreed to let Ryan Kent leave the club next summer and they are demanding £2 million for the winger.

And this prize is a double-edged sword for the Light Blues.

While Steven Gerrard will be happy that Liverpool haven’t quoted an astronomical figure for the youngster but this relative bargain fee has also attracted other suitors.

According to reports, Leeds United are interested in signing Ryan Kent and are planning to make a move at the end of the season.

Leeds were interested in signing the winger this summer but eventually, Rangers beat them to Ryan Kent’s signature.

And Steven Gerrard is hoping that the prospect of working with him will make Ryan Kent choose Rangers over Leeds United.
