Manchester United beat Watford in the Premier League on Sunday and once again Bruno Fernandes was the star of the show.

United scored three goals on the night with Bruno Fernandes scoring one and assisting the other two goals thereby picking up yet another MOTM award.

And speaking after the match, the manager has hinted that he might have pulled off an absolute bargain in signing the Portuguese playmaker.

Ole told the BBC after the game, as quoted: “Bruno Fernandes is quicker than he looks. Very excited by having him in. He has come in, given everyone a boost and wants to conduct a game. There are big games coming up now.

“In today’s market, we got a good deal. Some players take time to warm up but he felt that confidence straight away. It is a bit of a mix between Scholes and Veron – the temperament of Veron and a lot of the quality of Scholesy. He is a big piece of what we are trying to put together.

“He wants the ball all the time, he wants to conduct the play. I am very pleased for him. He has done something to the crowd.

He shows the attributes of a Manchester United player. He is a great addition to the squad.”

Manchester United wanted to sign Bruno Fernandes during the summer but that deal ultimately did not materialise.

But the manager was eventually able to bring him in last month and the former Sporting man has taken very little time to settle down at the club.

Man United had paid an initial fee £44.6m fee which could rise to £67.8m including adds-on and given how crazy the transfer market has become if the player can succeed at Old Trafford then surely it would be a great buy from the club.

Next up, Man United take on Club Brugge in the Premier League and Bruno Fernandes will surely be named in the starting XI since the tie hangs in the balance with an aggregate scoreline of 1-1.
