Arsenal might have finally found a plan to lure in midfielder Thomas Partey from Atletico Madrid during the summer transfer window – as per the latest updates.

Thomas Partey still has three years left on his current deal with Atletico but it’s being claimed that he is looking to move out of the club at the end of this season and the Premier League could be his next possible destination.

The player has been a very important part of Simeone’s side this season having already played in 35 games across all competitions for the club and hence the Spanish side will do anything to hold onto the midfielder.

But it seems Arsenal are looking to add Alexandre Lacazette as part of the transfer deal so that Atletico agree to sell off Thomas Partey without any major fuss.

Lacazette seems to have failed to win the trust of his current manager and a couple of days ago there were reports of Arteta wanting to cash in on the Frenchman during the summer.

And with Atletico Madrid also interested in signing him, this deal could work perfectly well for both the clubs.

Arsenal are badly in need of a strong defensive midfielder since Granit Xhaka has been mediocre in that role all throughout the current season and Thomas Partey could be the ideal man to fulfil that void.

Atletico, on the other hand, might have a number of strikers in their squad right now but they have struggled to score goals this campaign and Simeone is hoping to solve this problem by bringing in someone like Lacazette.

It’s still unclear as to what the exact arrangement might be but as per some reports in the English media, the Madrid based club are willing to accept a transfer price of around £50 million for Thomas Partey.

This would mean that Alexandre Lacazette and a few more million pounds should be more than enough to secure to wrap up the deal during the summer given the Arsenal forward is willing to join Atletico Madrid.
