Several top European clubs are interested in signing Napoli’s Victor Osimhen but there’s a big chance that they will miss out on him.

The 24-year-old has been on fire for Napoli this season, scoring 22 league goals in just 27 appearances for the club and he’s one of the main reasons why the club have become the champions of Italy.

There has been general consensus that Napoli won’t be able to hold onto their star players beyond the summer but their president Aurelio De Laurentiis has made it very clear that Victor Osimhen won’t be up for sale.

“I will not sell Victor Osimhen this summer, no way”, he said, h/t Fabrizio Romano.

PSG, Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea have all been linked with the Nigerian international so this statement is a major blow for them.

However, we don’t think any of them will give up hope because there’s a big chance that the player can himself hand in a transfer request.

PSG can obviously try and change Napoli and Osimhen’s minds by offering crazy amounts of money and on the other hand, the striker has previously claimed that he wishes to play in the Premier League someday. He’s already achieved the top prize in Italy so it will make sense if he is looking for a new adventure next season.

“I think playing in one of the top five leagues in the world is an amazing feeling for me,” he’d said back in March, as quoted by Sky Sports.

“A lot of people worldwide consider the Premier League as the best and the strongest league but now I’m in one of the best leagues in the world which is the Italian Serie A.

“I’m working so hard to make sure that I achieve my dream of playing in the Premier League some day but like I said, it’s a process and I just want to keep on this momentum and continue to do well.”

Manchester United have him on their priority list because Erik ten Hag needs a top-class striker in his squad next season but Arsenal and Chelsea won’t give up without a fight as well. His current contract expires in 2025 so all these clubs will have to be prepared to shell out around €120-130 million.

Based on the current scenario, all these interested teams have two options in this transfer saga, either they offer an absurd transfer fee to change Napoli’s mind or they convince Victor Osimhen that moving out of the Serie A is a stepping in the right direction.
