West Ham United face Brentford in the Premier League on Sunday and David Moyes is still not sure if Vladimir Coufal will be a part of the squad or not.

Ryan Fredericks is already on the sidelines with a groin injury and the manager has confirmed that he will not be fit to face the Bees.

Coufal missed Thursday’s UEFA Europa League victory over Rapid Vienna and as per Moyes, the right-back will go through a late fitness test to determine his availability during the weekend.

Moyes said in his pre-match press conference on Friday: “Vladimír Coufal has a chance for Sunday. I’m not sure about Ryan Fredericks.

“They’re both not bad, so we’re not thinking that they’re too far away. There is a chance they could both be available and hopefully, they’ll both be okay.

“The squad is really important and we’ve got to a situation where we have great trust in the players. They went to Old Trafford and won 1-0 last week and we do need to use them because it is more games for us and it will be more taxing, but I think we have a pretty athletic and fit squad of players and as long as we keep them fit it will be good.

“I’m quite happy to keep rotating them round and give them opportunities to play.”

Brentford’s attacking players have been causing a lot of problems for opposition defenders this season so if Vladimir Coufal is not available then it could be a major cause of concern for the West Ham United manager.

Against Rapid Wien, Moyes used 21-year-old Ben Johnson at right-back and if Coufal is not fully fit then the West Ham United boss might have to make the same selection choice this weekend as well.

Johnson did put in a fine shift on Thursday but we are not sure how he can cope up with the physicality of Brentford’s attackers.
