Jack Grealish to Man City
Jack Grealish playing for Aston Villa

Chelsea take on Aston Villa in the Premier League on Wednesday and before the match, Lampard has chosen to shower praises on Jack Grealish.

Jack Grealish has been in tremendous form for Villa this season and right now he is one of the most talked-about players in England’s top division. And this is why Frank Lampard feels the 24-year-old could receive a national team call-up pretty soon.

“I think he’s doing it,” Lampard said of Grealish[as reported by Goal].

“He’s playing at a level now where he is obviously forcing himself into the argument. It’ll probably be a matter of time.

“I never want to tell Gareth what to do but his performances at the moment of a really high level.

“He’s a big threat for us and a fantastic player. His game has really come on. He is a joy to watch when he’s not against you because he moves so well with the ball. He’s a really good player.”

So far, Jack Grealish has featured in 14 games across all competitions for Dean Smith’s side and has managed to score and assist five goals each.

This obviously makes him praiseworthy but some observers feel Frank Lampard has just put on extra pressure on the attacking midfielder by uttering such kind words right before Chelsea take on Aston Villa.

Jack Grealish was the standout performer for Villa against Man United during the weekend and surely Frank Lampard is trying all the tricks in the book to put him off for Wednesday’s game – or so some people would like to believe.
