Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera is out of contract at the end of the season and he is yet to sign a new deal at the club.

Some reports claim that the midfielder could leave in the summer while others claim that the Spaniard will stay.

Ander Herrera has claimed that he is not too worried about the new deal but with Arsenal interested in signing him at the end of the season, the Man United fans are starting to get worried.

But now reports have provided two possible reasons why United are not handing Ander Herrera a new contract.

The first one is because Solskjaer is still not sure how his midfield will look like.

Paul Pogba will surely be the fulcrum around whom the manager will build his team but the Norwegian is still unsure whether Ander Herrera and Nemanja Matic be part of the new look side next season.

Both Ander Herrera and Matic has been the first choice midfield pair for Ole but with new players expected to come in during the summer, there is a big possibility that Man United might let Ander Herrera leave.

The second reason for not giving the Spaniard a new deal is purely financial.

Currently, Ander Herrera earns £130,000-a-week and Man United are willing to offer a new deal worth £170,000-a-week.

But as per reports, the midfielder wants nothing less than £200,000-a-week.

Many people believe this is the primary reason why the two parties are yet to agree on a new deal since Ander Herrera is one of the darlings amongst the United fanbase.

Arsenal though still remain in the hunt as the Gunners look to bring in some new players.

And a couple of weeks ago, Ander Herrera was not on the priority list for the Emirates outfit but after Granit Xhaka hinted that he could be on his way out some time in the near future, it seems like the Gunners are more serious about bringing Ander Herrera on board.
