Chelsea have seen a slump in form during the past couple of months and their manager Maurizio Sarri has come under heavy fire from the fans.

Sarri has been adamant not to change the system despite a string of poor results and this has not gone down too well with the Blues faithful.

Most reports suggest that the manager is on the verge of being sacked and that the midweek clash vs Spurs could be the final game that the Italian is in charge of.

And Chelsea defender David Luiz feels that it will be really for them to beat Spurs since the amount of sync that the players have between them.

“They are playing together for many years, so it will be a tough game,” Luiz said.

“I also love the way Pochettino sets up his team, he brings through an amazing generation, especially with English players like Dele Alli, (Harry) Kane, (Eric) Dier.”

This coherence of the Spurs team is in complete contrast from the Chelsea squad.

The perfect example of this is the Kepa incident this weekend when not a single Chelsea player had the guts to force the keeper off the pitch.

David Luiz was also asked as to why the Blues had been performing so poorly, to which he had a rather bizarre reply.

“Chelsea is a team which should be fighting for the Premier League and now we are seeing it is a bit far, so it is not the same mentality. It is up to us to pass this step,” David Luiz added.

“It’s one of the best seasons I’ve had individually, but, for me, this doesn’t count because I want my team to win,

“It’s better that my team wins 5-4 and it’s better that everyone talks bad about me but my team is winning than I’m doing a great job and we’re still not winning.”

This is not the first time that the Blues have not been fighting for the Premier League title in recent years but what we can safely say that this is one of the most disoriented bunch of players we have seen for a long time.
