Chelsea got back to winning ways in the Premier League by beating Aston Villa on Wednesday night. And once again, the topic of Christian Pulisic came up.

The American had been on the fringes during the start of the season and at one point it looked like he was about to become a big failure at the club.

But during the past couple of months, the player has been able to revive himself and he is right now one of the first names on Lampard’s teamsheet.

On Wednesday, Pulisic neither came up with a goal or an assist but still, the Chelsea manager was asked about the player and his impact at the club.

And to this, Lampard’s predicted that Christian Pulisic has the talent to be a world-beater.

“Really impressed,” Lampard said, via Football London.

“I think he is playing really well. Since he came into the team, at Burnley got those goals and carried on with his form.

“He can score more but we’ve got a player in Christian that is really exciting and when you see this type of player in the modern-day and you see their quality.

“He has got the ability to go on to the extra level, which is the top level of world football. At the minute he is doing really well and I hope he keeps that up.”

So far the player has scored six and assisted six goals across all competitions for Chelsea and he’s finally proving his worth to the club.

While Christian Pulisic has been getting a fair amount of game time but Lampard is yet to decide on his regular attackers and many pundits believe he’s just a few bad games away from falling down the pecking order once again.
