Football fans are a fickle minded bunch.
A couple of months ago when Liverpool signed Fabinho from AS Monaco, he was touted as the next big thing by the Anfield faithful and many claimed he would become a mainstay for the club alongside fellow summer signing Naby Keita.
But while Keita has been busy showing his brilliance on the pitch, Fabinho received his first start of the new season this midweek when Liverpool lost 2-1 to Chelsea in the Carabao Cup.
And my God was the midfielder poor.
Fabinho was part of the midfield trio of James Milner and Naby Keita against the Blues and the Brazilian was easily the worst of the lot after 90 minutes.
Fabinho failed to make any sort of impact during the game and after he was taken off in the 85th minute, fans could clearly see what Jurgen Klopp has been refraining from playing him for so long.
The 24-year-old had a number of fine seasons with AS Monaco where he started his career as a right-back and eventually turned into a defensive midfielder. And when he arrives at the shores of Liverpool for £39 million many thought that the Reds had made a bargain deal.
Now though the fans do not want him anywhere near the pitch and have urged the club to offload him as soon as possible.
Fabinho is the worse player we have signed since Andy Carrol

Okay, somebody explain. How did Monaco win the Ligue 1 and get to the CL semi final with a double pivot of Bakayoko and Fabinho? 😳

Klopp was right, Fabinho is NOWHERE NEAR being ready enough for Premier League football.
