When Fulham took the field vs Liverpool on Sunday, everyone knew what the outcome would be – the home side will score a couple of goals and get back to winning ways at Anfield.

But it’s Fulham who took the bull by the horns and came out as 1-0 winners. And according to Fulham midfield Harrison Reed, the London side won the match simply cause they had more desire than the hosts.

‘It’s massive. We came here with confidence and we knew had a tough run, we knew if we could get something out of these games we would be standing in good stead so we are delighted with today,’ Reed told Sky Sports, as quoted by the Daily Mail.

‘The manager spoke about coming here and winning and I think the first half was maybe one of our best this season and the second half we had to dig in, put our bodies on the line and we did that.

‘We wanted it more. That was evident on the pitch from the first whistle and it was a big factor in us getting the three points.

‘We feel it has been coming, maybe we haven’t been scoring enough goals. We brought in Maja and he has brought in a brilliant striking instinct and he worked his socks off and was really good as well.

‘We feel that, we’ve been building from the start of the season to now we have grown massively, everyone can see that as well.’

Liverpool have now suffered six losses at home in the Premier League and this defeat vs Fulham means Liverpool are now eight on the league table with 43 points. And while the Liverpool players are surely trying their best to score goals and pick up wins but it seems like their luck has just run out.

Players like Salah, Mane and Firmino have been really underwhelming during the second half of the season and their poor form is clearly overshadowing the numerous defensive injuries that Liverpool have this season.

There’s also a theory that the Liverpool players have lost interest in the league matches since they know for sure that they won’t be able to defend their title.
